Swiss company, NESTLE, has sold 51% of its capital in TRINKS, a German logistics group specialising in drinks, to three independent German breweries, KROMBACHER, RADEBERGER (BRAU UND BRUNNEN) group and WARSTEINER. Number one in drink logistics in Germany, TRINKS obtains 50% of its sales (around EUR 1 bn in total in 2002 from 1.3 bn litres of drinks) in the beer sector and 40% from mineral water where NESTLE is the world leader. The agreement will see NESTLE continuing to reduce its participation "over the next few years".
