Parliament to approve, on 9 October, mobilisation of EUR 104.7 million under Solidarity Fund

Brussels, 02/10/2003 (Agence Europe) - On Thursday 9 October in Brussels, the European Parliament is expected to give its approval for the mobilisation of EUR 104.7 million from the Solidarity Fund in favour of Portugal (EUR 48.5 million for the damage caused by fires this summer), Italy (47.6 million after the earthquakes and eruption of Etna) and Spain (EUR 8.6 million for damage caused by the Prestige oil tanker disaster).
