Brussels, 01/10/2003 (Agence Europe) - As expected the European Commission adopted on Wednesday a communication defining the position of the European Union in the perspective of the conference on the reconstruction of Iraq, taking place on 24 October in Madrid. It is proposing an envelope of EUR 200 million for reconstruction in the country for an initial period up to the end of 2004.
