Brussels, 08/09/2003 (Agence Europe) - The Political and Security Committee of the EU (COPS) on Friday discussed the situation in Moldova, which has been facing a conflict with the breakaway republic of Transnistria since the 1990s. National delegations took note of a document from the Secretariat General of the Council, raising, amongst other things, the idea of sending an EU mission, either military or civil, to Moldova.
