Brussels, 29/08/2003 (Agence Europe) - MEP Alima Boumediene-Thiery (Greens/EFA) is organising for 17 September in Brussels a conference-debate on the theme: "In support of a European drugs policy". The aim of the conference is to promote the participation of civil society actors in defining and promoting European drugs policy as well as optimising the impact that local measures will have in fostering the exchange of information and know-how, the transfer of competence and the search for complementarity at European scale. European Institutions and the main civil society networks in the field of drugs will take part at the conference: town networks, professional networks and associations on the ground.
