ESDP Meeting on Friday in Rome will discuss new British proposals for European defence

Brussels, 27/08/2003 (Agence Europe) - The Italian EU Presidency has convened a meeting of Political Directors from the EU Defence and Foreign Affairs Ministries on European defence policy (ESDP), to be held on Friday in Rome. With a view to the Intergovernmental Conference (IGC), the political directors will take stock of the various ESDP issues - mainly the creation of a European Armaments Agency - and of the recent initiatives in this connection such as the "mini-summit" on defence...
