Philippe Busquin responds to Italian Radicals over stem cell research

Brussels, 27/08/2003 (Agence Europe) - Radical Italian MEP Marco Cappato states in a press release that European Research Commissioner Philippe Busquin has replied to a letter sent by Cappato and Rita Bernardini, Secretary of Associazione Luca Coscioni, in July 2003, calling for EU funding to be made available for research on stem cells from supernumerary embryos (see EUROPE of 8 July, p.10, and 10 July, p.6, on the ethical framework proposed by the European Commission for stem cell...
