Four Member States referred to Court of Justice for delay in security measures for cableway installations

Brussels, 14/07/2003 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission decided on Friday to refer Germany, Greece, Ireland and Italy to the European Court of Justice for failure to notify measure transposing the European directive on cableway installations designed to carry persons into their national legislation. This directive, which should have been transposed on 3 May 2002 and which will be applicable as of 3 May 2004, will ensure the same high level of safety in all Member States for funicular...
