In this weekend's referendum Czechs expected to vote in favour of joining EU

Brussels, 13/06/2003 (Agence Europe) - On Friday and Saturday a referendum is being held in the Czech Republic over whether to join the EU. In the final opinion polls ahead of the referendum, 57% of Czechs intended to vote, and 76% (down 6% on the previous week) favoured their country joining the EU on 1 May 2004.
