Brussels, 30/05/2003 (Agence Europe) - The European Union and Mercosur (Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay and Uruguay) this week presented their requests for improved tenders for tariff dismantling on industrial products. Both sides exchanged tenders on goods at the end of 2001 and early 2002, and last week on services and investment (see EUROPE of 24 May, p.11). These bids will be compared at the first round of negotiations, from 23 to 27 June at Asunción.
