30/05/2003 (Agence Europe) - the rapid rise in the value of the Euro risks impacting on Germany and its economic growth, asserted the German Chancellor, Gerhard Schröder in an interview given to the Russian agency, Interfax. Mr Schröder admitted that the Euro was a good thing given that the European currency was undervalued in the past but warned that a continued rise in its value would not be without consequences, notably for a "exporting country like Germany".
