Vote is expanded with the ten new Member States

Athens, 17/04/2003 (Agence Europe) - Upon signing the membership treaty, the President of the Council of the EU George Papandreou announced the launching of the "evote" in the ten new languages of the Union, hoping that the new members will benefit most from this "innovative e-democracy instrument", which "is not only a passive expression of public opinion but created a new European forum allowing people to demonstrate their views with their leaders".
