Papadopouos rejects Denktash proposals and asks him to agree to discussions with UN

Brussels, 04/04/2003 (Agence Europe) - The President of the Republic of Cyprus has rejected the proposals of the Turkish Cypriot leader and has asked him to attend UN discussion on the basis of the plan outlined by Kofi Annan (see EUROPE yesterday). In a letter that does not respond directly to the six point plan proposed on Wednesday by the Turkish Cypriot leader, Tassos Papadopoulos indicated that he would only agree to discussion if Rauf Denktash, "accepted the Plan of the United Nations...
