Commission approves rescue aid to BBP Service GmbH

Brussels, 21/03/2003 (Agence Europe) - On 19 March, the European Commission approved rescue aid in favour of BBP SERvice GmbH, Oberhausen, a German company in the services sector active in the field of energy production and subsidiary of Babcok Borsig AG. The aid notified, a State guarantee of 90% for two credit lines of a total of EUR 52.5 million, will allow BBP Service to continue its operations for six months giving the company time to decide on its future.
