27/02/2003 (Agence Europe) - On the occasion of Erasmus reaching its 1 millionth student, the European Union Student Council (EUSC) has decided to launch a major survey within the European Union in order to find out what EU students think about and expect from EU student mobility programmes, EUSC explains in a press release. There are currently more than 15 million students in Europe, the "leaders of tomorrow" but who are unfortunately not consulted about ground-breaking decisions in European higher education, adds the press release. The EUSC President , Rafael Mondelaers, said the "time has come for students to make their voice heard on those issues they care about" and announced an EU-wide survey in March and April 2003, the EUSC 2003 Student Barometer, with 13 questions covering issues of student mobility, transfer of credits, recognition of diplomas and the use of international technology. An internet-based version of the survey will be available on http://www.eusc.net
