27/02/2003 (Agence Europe) - Eight leading environmental organisations have expressed their strong disappointment about the definition of sustainable in the first draft articles of the future European Constitution. The environment isn't even mentioned, and there is no mention of economic and social considerations, regret the organisations in a press release, hoping that "this was an unintentional mistake which will be corrected immediately". BirdLife International, the European Federation for Transport and the Environment, Friends of the Earth Europe, Greenpeace and WWF have published amendments that they say have already won the support of several Convention Members, including Joschka Fischer.
