Brussels, 17/02/2003 (Agence Europe) - Last Friday the Commission accepted a request from the Belgian Ministry of Economic Affairs that it refer to the Belgian authorities six merger cases arising out of agreements between Electrabel and local authority energy suppliers regarding the supply of electricity and gas to "eligible customers" in Flanders.
