Portugal suggests postponing 5 April Summit

Lisbon, 29/01/2003 (Agence Europe) - Portuguese Foreign Minister Antonio Martins da Cruz told the press, according to AFP, that "for now" it would be wise to postpone the EU/Africa Summit, scheduled for 5 April in Lisbon, due to differences between European Union Member States over Zimbabwe (see EUROPE of 29 January, p.6, for the inability of the EU Council to find a solution to the problem of sanctions against the Mugabe regime at international meetings).
