Strasbourg, 20/12/2002 (Agence Europe) - MEPs listened to a declaration by the European Commission of Thursday on the services of general interest, which did not meet all their expectations.
Commissioner Viviane Reding asserted that Article 16 of the Amsterdam Treaty explicitly recognised the role of services of general interest.
