Romania has now opened membership talks on all chapters - an "Important" signal after Copenhagen

Brussels, 20/12/2002 (Agence Europe) - One week after the conclusion of membership talks with the first ten candidate countries, the Danish Presidency held bilateral negotiation sessions (at "deputy level") in Brussels on Friday, with Bulgaria and Romania. Just a few days from expiry of its term of office, the Presidency felt it was important to send a positive and encouraging signal to these two countries and to recall that negotiations with Bulgaria and Romania will be "relentlessly"...
