Appeal by Kofi Annan to negotiate agreement, in Copenhagen, on the island's future

Copenhagen, 12/12/2002 (Agence Europe) - United Nations Secretary General Kofi Annan called upon the European Council President on Wednesday to make the necessary organisation available in Copenhagen for conducting negotiations between Greek and Turkish Cypriots, Mr Rasmussen announced to the press on Wednesday evening. He said negotiations would be held in Copenhagen over coming days in parallel to the European summit. It was expected that the UN would seek to bring Cypriots from both sides...
