Prodi and Poettering welcome success of Schuessel

Brussels, 25/11/2002 (Agence Europe) - President Proidi congratulated the Austrian Chancellor, Wolfgang Schuessel, on Monday for the success of his party the OVP, which received 42.3% of the votes in the Austrian elections of 24 November (whereas the SPO received 36.9% and Joerg Haider's FPO gained 10.16%, compared to 6.93 in 1999).
