25/11/2002 (Agence Europe) - The Head Chief of the Crie Nation, Ted Moses and the Minister for the development of North Quebec, Michel Létourneau met MEPs last week during the Strasbourg plenary sessions. They presented the agreement signed last February between the Quebec government and the Crie Grand Council, which establishes a partnership for managing resources and enlarging the responsibilities of the Crie communities in their traditional lands. Ted Moses explained to the press that this agreement, called the "Peace of the Braves", could form the "model of approach in all relations with the indigenous peoples, to the benefit of their development and social peace". The agreement also incorporates another agreement known as the "Nation to Nation" agreement, which can, according to the President of the Intergroup "Nations without States and the European Union, Camilo Nogueira, serve as an exemplary model.
