EUR 223 million programme for Eastern and Southern Africa and Indian Ocean region

Brussels, 20/11/2002 (Agence Europe) - On Tuesday, the European Commission signed, in Uganda, a regional strategy document with Eastern and Southern Africa and the Indian Ocean region, providing for aid of EUR 223 million for 2002-2007. The aid aims to reduce poverty and develop economic growth.
