Strasbourg, 20/11/2002 (Agence Europe) - While acknowledging that there were differences within his Group on Turkey's accession, the president of the EPP-ED Group, Hans-Gert Pöttering (CDU), repeated at a press conference on Tuesday on the fringe of the plenary session in Strasbourg that his group was unanimously against the setting, at the Copenhagen Summit, of a date for beginning negotiations with the country, "as Turkey does not meet the criteria".
