21/10/2002 (Agence Europe) - The US Agriculture Department has given its approval to the resumption of deliveries of Spanish clementines. Deliveries had been suspended in December 2001 for sanitary reasons. Madrid has pledged to implement a programme for the management of "Mediterranean fruit flies" whose larvae were found alive in deliveries inspected on American soil.
