Dublin/Brussels, 10/10/2002 (Agence Europe) - In a press statement on the second Irish referendum on the Treaty of Nice (19 October), the Irish bishops now consider that there are after all, "more arguments in favour of the Treaty than against it" and believe that, "voting against it would result in overturning the European commitment which we have known for 25 years, a commitment which has benefited us".
