Brussels, 10/10/2002 (Agence Europe) - By adopting the Rolf Berend report (CDU), the European Parliament asked, in Brussels on Thursday, for the creation of a European solidarity fund covering all "major catastrophes" and for which also would be eligible any disaster affecting a substantial slice of the population of certain ultra-peripheral islands or regions.
