Chairman of the US Securities and Exchange Commission says he's ready to take on board European worries on "Sarbanes-Oxley" legislation

Brussels, 10/10/2002 (Agence Europe) - The Chairman of the US Securities and Exchange Commission, Harvey Pitt gave assurances during visits to Brussels and London that the new US "Sarbanes-Oxley financial law would be applied while taking into account the worries of European companies. He pointed out some the US worries concerning the effects European legislation on financial conglomerates that are currently being adopted.
