30/09/2002 (Agence Europe) - The European Parliament has adopted the report by Joseph Daul (EPP-ED, French), which approves a proposal providing for modification to be made to the Community financing arrangement for the programmes of activities of oil-producer organisations. Member States have the possibility of financing, on the basis of withholding on production aid, activity programmes (on improved quality) of approved operator and producer organisations. An increase in withholding to a maximum of 3% is foreseen on the basis of the unitary amount for production aid and the national guaranteed amount, in order to avoid current fluctuations linked to the levels of production really reached.
