ICG urges US to lead contact group

Brussels, 18/07/2002 (Agence Europe) - On Tuesday, International Crisis Group published three reports described as "clear, detailed and comprehensive blueprints for a permanent Israeli-Palestinian agreement". It wants the reports to be used by the contact group (combining the "Quartet" of the US, the EU, Russia and the UN, and the Trio of Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Jordan) and believes the US is best placed to lead the group.
