Brussels, 18/07/2002 (Agence Europe) - The EU Council of Ministers adopted without debate the EUR 55 million budget and the work programme for Europol (European Police Office) for the financial year 2003, as well as the budget of nearly EUR 3 million for the European Police College, for 2003. The Council invited the Member States to pay their contributions to these budgets which are not financed by the general EU budget but directly by national authorities.
