18/07/2002 (Agence Europe) - German Chancellor Gerhard Schröder dismissed Defence Minister Rudolf Scharping on Thursday for his involvement in a matter of fees paid by a private firm. He will be replaced by the president of the SPD parliamentary group, Peter Struck.
