Brussels, 16/07/2002 (Agence Europe) - The International Monetary Fund (IMF) said on Friday that the growth prospects for the euro area had weakened somewhat and that uncertainty and downside risks in the region have increased. It also stressed that the rise in the euro was "double-edged" and recalled the budgetary commitments of Member States.
