ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) energy

According to German press reports, the number one in the energy market, E.ON may be selling its stake in the water company GELSENWASSER to its competitor RWE. E.ON selling out to GELSENWASSER is one of the conditions demanded by the German government for authorising the merger of the energy group with the gas group RUHRGAS (see IE on 8 and 9 July).
