Denmark refuses to host Joint Assembly

Brussels, 27/05/2002 (Agence Europe) - Described as a co-operation and development model and respecting its Rio commitment to spend 0.7% of its GDP on aid to poor countries, Denmark has refused to host the next plenary session of the Joint ACP-EU Parliamentary Assembly. Folketing President Ivar Hansen has informed the two Co-Presidents, Glenys Kinnock (British Labour MEP) and the President of Benin's National Assembly, Adrian Houngbedji, that Denmark refuses to meet their request to organise...
