24/05/2002 (Agence Europe) - The representative of the European employers' organisation, UNICE, has called on the Council to do its utmost to create a Community patent that is economically viable. In a press statement, UNICE explained that it was "unacceptable for industry" that patent requirements were translated in all Community languages, as proposed by the Spanish Presidency at the last Internal Market Council (see EUROPE 22 May page 9).
