Cox calls on sides to take advantage of favourable context of enlargement to settle problem of island's status

Brussels, 10/05/2002 (Agence Europe) - On a three-day visit to Cyprus, in which he met Cypriot President Glafcos Clerides and the Turkish Cypriot leader Rauf Denktash, Pat Cox declared that the accession process to the EU had to be taken advantage of by both sides to settle the problem of the island's division.
