EP accepts statistics programme for 2003-2007

Brussels, 30/04/2002 (Agence Europe) - On Thursday the European Parliament adopted Astrid Lulling's report (Luxembourg Christian Democrat) on the decision on the Community Statistics Programme 2003-07. The EP largely supports the document prepared by the Commission but has added three amendments. The first stresses the necessity of breaking down the figures according to gender in the different fields in order to bring added value to policy.
