ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) electricity

EDF has announced that it is to sell the 27.7% stake that, through its subsidiary EDF INTERNATIONAL, it has in the Hungarian electricity distribution company EDASZ (400 million euro turnover in 2001 with 265,495 customers). The sale will take the form of a call for bids, to be launched by its partner E.ON HUNGARIA which also has a 27.7% stake in EDASZ.
