In its 2002 Directory, the European Audiovisual Observatory warns against the constant worsening of audiovisual trade between the EU and the United States

Brussels, 18/04/2002 (Agence Europe) - The European Audiovisual Observatory (Strasbourg) notes in its "Directory 2002 - Cinema, television, video and multimedia in Europe" that in 2000, the imbalance in trade in the audiovisual sector between North America and Europe worsened, as did the deficit of the European television sector, and that the financial situation of public radio-television organisations in Europe was tending to worsen.
