For first time at EU level, binding legislation will now define sexual harassment in the workplace - Conciliation achieved on equal treatment of men and women in the workplace

Brussels, 18/04/2002 (Agence Europe) - The EP/Council Conciliation committee, Co-presided by Renzo Imbeni, Vice President of the EP and Gerardo Camps, Spanish Secretary of State, obtained an agreement between the EP and Council on 17 April on a new directive providing for equal treatment for men and women as regards access to employment, vocational training and promotion and working conditions.
