17/04/2002 (Agence Europe) - The Commission's decision of 27 March of creating a "Group of Directors General for Industrial Relations" was published in the Official Journal of the EC No. L91 of 6 April 2002. This Group was created, in the follow-up to the Lisbon Summit in view of being a body for consultation, reflection, exchange of views and co-operation between Member States and the Commission, notably in preparing new initiatives in the field of labour relations, on implementation of the acquis communautaire in the field of labour law and in drawing up different programmes in the field. It is composed of Directors-General for Industrial Relations from the Member States and chaired by a European Commission representative.
