Brussels, 04/04/2002 (Agence Europe) - The European Liberal, Democrat and Reform Party are organising their spring conference for 4 and 5 April at the European Parliament, in Brussels.
On 4 April, after a meeting on "Promoting the participation of women in political life", with Maria Kaisa Aula and Inese Birzniece (Finnish and Latvian parliamentarians) and MEPs Marieke Sanders and Lone Dybkjaer, EP President Pat Cox, President of the EP Liberal Group Graham Watson and Hungarian MP Matyas Eorsi discussed the role of the Liberal Group in promoting cultural dialogue. On 5 April, ELDR President Werner Hoyer, Vice-President of the EP Delegation to the Convention on the Future of Europe Andrew Duff, and the representative of the Danish government at the Convention, Henning Christophersen, will lead the debate on the state of progress of work by the Convention.
