Ankara, 02/04/2002 (Agence Europe) - The Greek Ministers for Development and Energy, Akis Tsohatsopoulos and Zeki Cakan respectively, signed an agreement on 28 March for EUR 344 million with a view to the extension of the Iranian oil pipeline to Thrace, through Turkey. The project, which should be completed by 2005, will initially allow around 500 million cubic metres of oil to be transported. Greece hopes to extend the pipeline as far as Italy.
