Berne Convention for Protection of Literary and Artistic Works falls within EU powers, contrary to line argued by UK

Luxembourg, 28/03/2002 (Agence Europe) - The United Kingdom's argument that the Berne Convention for the Protection of Literary and Artistic Works comes under international law and the competence of the Member States and does not come under the jurisdiction of the Court of Justice is unfounded, ruled the Court of Justice in a case brought by the Commission against Ireland.
