Switzerland says it will only enter negotiations over savings tax as part of broader discussions

Brussels, 20/03/2002 (Agence Europe) - In a letter received by the European Commission on Tuesday, the Swiss Prime Minister and Finance Minister Kaspar Villiger said that Switzerland was prepared to enter negotiations with the EU about savings taxation but only as part of broader talks covering all agreements that have not yet been formalised with the EU.
