Further research into presence of antibiotic residue in imports from Thailand, Vietnam and Myanmar

Brussels, 20/03/2002 (Agence Europe) - Member States' representatives, who met on Wednesday within the Standing Committee on the Food Chain and Animal Health today voted in favour of a European Commission proposal aimed at intensifying screening for antibiotic residue in shrimps imported from Vietnam and Myanmar, as well as imports of shrimps and poultry from Thailand.
