Creation of Union of Mediterranean Confederations of Enterprises (UMCE)

Brussels, 11/03/2002 (Agence Europe) - At their constitutive assembly on 28 February in Istanbul, the presidents of the main business organisations from the 12 South Mediterranean countries taking part in the Barcelona Process (Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Israel, Palestinian Authority, Syria, Tunisia, Turkey, Cyprus and Malta) created the Union of Mediterranean Confederations of Enterprises (UMCE).
