Strasbourg, 15/02/2002 (Agence Europe) - Peter Caruana, Head of the Government Authority of Gibraltar came to Strasbourg at the invitation of Lord Bethell, who is part of the British Conservative group. In a press statement made last week, Mr Caruana indicated that the people of Gibraltar would reject any proposal that denied them the right of self-determination (see EUROPE 6 February page 8 on negotiations between Jack Straw and Josep Piqué).
